Toyoda Iron Works Co., Ltd. and the Toyotetsu Group (hereinafter collectively referred to as “TOYOTETSU”) have established the following privacy policy based on the recognition that observing the Personal Information Protection Law and properly treating the information that can identify our customers, such as the name, address, telephone number and E-mail address of our customer (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”), are important social responsibility of all corporations.

Acquisition of Personal Information

When acquiring the Personal Information, TOYOTETSU shall clearly indicate the purpose of use and acquire the Personal Information within the necessary range by legal and fair means.

Treatment of Personal Information

1) Use within the purpose of use

TOYOTETSU shall not use the acquired Personal Information without consent of the customer of the Personal Information or beyond the permitted range of use. The TOYOTETSU shall use the acquired Personal Information for any of the following purposes:

To give business information related to our products and services
To conduct questionnaire survey to review product planning and development or customer satisfaction improving measures
To perform activities to quickly answer inquiries from our customer or give speedy services to our customer
To fulfill any other purpose of use clearly indicated when acquiring the Personal Information
To treat the Personal Information under the legal provision, the notice or guidance of the administrative authorities, etc.

2) Provision of Personal Information to a third person

TOYOTETSU shall not provide a third person with the acquired Personal Information without consent of our customer of the Personal Information unless the purpose of use is identical to 1 - 5 above. However, TOYOTETSU may provide the acquired Personal Information to our subcontracting party with the range necessary for fulfilling the use of purpose. Even in this case, TOYOTETSU shall request such our subcontracting party for proper treatment of the provided Personal Information and also properly manage the Personal Information.

3) Proper management of Personal Information

TOYOTETSU shall take appropriate safety measures to unauthorized access to the Personal Information and loss, corruption, alteration, divulgation, etc. of the Personal Information. Also, TOYOTETSU shall perform periodic enlightenment activities for our employees treating the Personal Information, including education and training as to how to protect the Personal Information.

Inquiries, etc.

TOYOTETSU may request our customer of the Personal Information possessed by us to authorize us to disclose their Personal Information by carrying out the due procedure. If you authorize us to disclose your Personal Information, please contact us at the inquiry desk indicated below. Then, you will hear from us about the procedure necessary for authorizing us to disclose your Personal Information. In addition, if you want to correct, disuse or delete your Personal Information or if you have any inquiry about your Personal Information, the same inquiry desk will receive your request or inquiry. Whichever the case is, TOYOTETSU shall properly respond to you in adherence with the spirit of the Personal Information Protection Law.

TOYOTETSU shall observe all laws and notices concerning the protection of the Personal Information and other regulations, continue to work on improvements so that the Personal Information can be properly treated, and reflect the improvement results in this basic policy from time to time.
